At Woollam, we are always proud to see the amazing and diverse ways in which our people give back to our local communities. Tim Hill, a Rockhampton based Site Manager, is a very particular kind of man on a mission. When he’s not working hard leading site teams in regional QLD or WA, Tim is out with a metal detector discovering forgotten WWII dog tags remaining from the US Army training facilities in the area, and is dedicated to returning them to their owners and their families.
Since finding his first tag over three years ago, Tim has found 25 sets and re-homed about half thanks to help from researchers in Queensland and abroad in the US. If you’re a Rocky local who’s keen to help Tim on his mission, check out this article to find out how.
